It was midnight
The rain was still pouring down
The sound of the falling drops had engulfed everything else
It was dark
Except for the tiny bulb flickering outside the window
I needed some sleep, i was sleeping
Dreaming
May be not
It wasn't raining anymore
The walls weren't there
Neither was the roof, nor the bed
I was somewhere else
There was a full moon
Its silver light touched everything
And everything it touched seemed unreal
Yet so familiar, so close to the heart
The air was cold
A river flowed beside me
Some would say a large stream
The water kissed my feet
There were trees all around
Enormous trees, centuries old
This was a forest
Suddenly i heard crickets
The sound had been there all along
I heard leaves rustling behind me
That sound wasn't there before
I turned
I saw
And I saw
It was a woman
Not a girl, not a lady
But a woman
She was fair
She was nude
She glowed brighter than the moon
I thought i knew what a goddess looked like
Until now
Her eyes were black
Eyes that drown one for eternity
Her lips were pale
The palest red
Her neck, like a swan
Held her head high
Her breasts
Bountiful and tender
Could raise the dead
Her waist was slender
Like that of a mermaid
Her legs were ivory
Sculpted by the divine
Then i thought
If there was one God
This must be Her
There was a flash of lightning
The thunder came much later
I turned my head
To take a look around
Just for a moment
Then back to her
She was still there
But no longer was she bright as the moon
She was drenched in blood
Her eyes were pools of fire
The sky turned dark
The moon was lost behind clouds
The river turned black with blood
The forest was in flames
Another flash of lightning
But the thunder didn't follow
The walls were back
So was the roof, as was the bed
It was still pouring
But the darkness was complete
typical utsab, good job
